Bio
Stephen Hudson and the Fiat Pandas are a Lancaster band who play a mix of fragile and fierce countrified indie-pop inspired by bands like Sparklehorse, the Violent Femmes and the wondrous early years of Rod Stewart.
In 2013 Stephen released his debut solo LP ‘Sleep for Railway Dreamers’ which was championed by the likes of Steve Lamacq and Tom Ravenscroft, and received airplay on BBC Radio 2, BBC 6 Music, and Radio Caroline.
Written in a fog of migraines whilst working an admin job in a prison, the record picked up rave reviews from music blogs and magazines alike, drawing comparisons to Ray Davies, Bob Seger, and Mazzy Star for its dreamy melancholy music and bleakly funny lyrical observations.
Since then, Stephen and the 'Pandas have played all over the UK sharing bills with bands such as the Guillemots, Francois & the Atlas Mountains, Stealing Sheep, The Moulettes, Jessica Hoop, and The Wave Pictures.
