Liverpools music scene is absolutely on fire at the moment, like blazing inferno in the deepest depths of hell kinda fire. Gig clashes every night, a festival every weekend and a great new band seems to pop up every 5 minutes.
The last year has brought us some of the UK's independent music scenes most exciting new bands in SPQR, Pink Kink, Peaness, Queen Zee & The Sasstones and Wild Fruit Art Collective to add to the army of bands already packing the cities gig spaces to the brim.
This rapid current of awesomeness is showing absolutely no signs of relenting either.
Here are 10 new, exciting acts without music online yet that are set to hit Merseyside like a musical meteor in the coming months...

Lilium
Bio:
Lilium is a rock band that started life in Falmouth, Cornwall, finding success in the South West which was capped by performances supporting Young Kato, and later The 1975 the latter at Boardmasters Festival. Lilium then went on to win What’s On Cornwall’s ‘Best Live Act’. Before relocating to Liverpool, Merseyside. The band consists of Samuel Dobbyn, Graeme Haywood, and siblings Andrew and Emma Heselton. With an emphasis on creating powerful catchy hooks theirs is a sound that has been likened to Jeff Buckley with the rawness of Pearl Jam. Melodic and moving there is nothing like them. With their influences ranging from the likes of Silverchair, Muse to Prog rock bands such as Yes and The Dear Hunter Lilium’s powerful and coherent sound belies the complex and intricate craft that is used to create it.
When can you expect to hear them:
Lilium have just finished recording at the Motor Museum and are set to release their first single ‘Disappear’ on November 25th at 24 Kitchen Street after having been signed by local label Deathly Records, tipped by music blog Getintothis to break-out.

Disastronauts
Bio: Starting life as a badly produced, rough, 10 track demo in September 2015, Disastronauts went from strength to strength. With a few live shows, the recognition came from Yeah Buddy!, GetIntoThis, and more local Liverpool press. Tayler, (Vocals, Guitar) George, (Vocals, Guitar) Ted, (Bass) and Adam, (Drums) kept the ball rolling in early 2016, and set out to conquer Liverpool, playing Heebie Jeebies as their first ever gig, the Cavern as their 2nd ever gig, and self-running a headline show at Maguires as their 4th. Despite the demo's praise, the band have since improved upon them, making them better, noisier, and more harmonious. Their 'debut single pre-release show' was extremely well received with an 'at-capacity' show at The Jacaranda, and the band are now contemplating world domination.
‘Catch this band while they're still playing the small places... Lackadaisical songwriting, immense stage presence, kickass riffs: Disastronauts are a lot of fun live’ - The Sphinx, Liverpool
When can you expect to hear them:
Disastronauts aim to put on or play monthly shows. They are currently recording a run of singles that will eventually make up their first EP. Debut ‘I’m Not Stupid’ is set for release in December.

Honorable Mentions
It’s not just the above mentioned bands that are joining the rabble of the Liverpool Music Scene either. The list never seems to end. In the past few weeks we have witnessed a heap of hopefuls announce themselves including;
Leavers
They opened up with a bludgeoning performance at our first ever Dumbulls show, combining members from The Hunx, Bolshy and Queen Zee and the Sasstones, Leavers have huge potential to make a statement in the cities Post-Rock/ Doom scene.
Death Blooms
Paul Barrow has become a cult figure on the DIY music scene. Frontman of Apple Cannon, Scouts and Big Nothing he has been providing us with great music for years. His newest project Death Blooms looks to be his heaviest and maybe even his best. They played their debut show supporting Dope at Islington Academy. That’s some arrival...
Lunchlady
They debuted at DLBD #10 on November 11th and they made a great first impression, ploughing through a number of moody post-punk shows and finishing by telling us that for now they are called Lunchlady. Whatever they call themselves, their presence will be a solid addition to Liverpools music scene.
Hart Foundation ’97
Making their debut for Howl at the Moon at Maguires Pizza Bar, the DIY backroom was the perfect environment for their fun and fumbling set of fat riffs and obscure sample. Their debut wasn’t without its problems but that all added to the disjointed and unpredictable charm. One to watch for the alternative minded amongst you.
Uncle Jane
Entering the fray late last year as The Fugates, they decided a change up would do them good so they became Uncle Jane back in June. Since then they’ve played a number of top shows in Liverpool including Banksfest and Smithdown Road Student Party. We caught them recently at Maguires Pizza Bar supporting Girl Sweat, Joe at Howl at the Moon only promotes top bands and they certainly made an impression on us.
