Over the past few years Revo Ziganda has expanded his brainchild ‘Evol’ from a promoter who brings you some of the best bands in the city, to now one of the best festivals in the city too, and that really is saying something when that city is Liverpool.
In 2016 Festevol took over Camp & Furnace with an epic event that saw the likes of Juliette Lewis and The Licks and Blossoms joined by the very best bands Liverpool have to offer. People now have a very clear list of expectations when it comes to Festevol, brilliant bands being the top of that list.
Well we have 3 HUGE names already on the cards for Festevol 2017 and a HUGE venue to host it.
On a beautiful looking poster we can see ultimate Leeds hipster troupe Wild Beasts, Madrid based, alt-pop trio The Parrots, who wowed The Magnet back in August and psych/alt/indie purveyors Ulrika Spacek.
Straight off the bat we can see that Revo and co. are not messing about. Those 3 names certainly have piqued our interest, Wild Beasts being a long favourite and dominating a section of the Yeah Buddy! CD library with their 5 top class albums. The Parrots being a new signing to Heavenly Recordings, releasing their debut album ‘Los Ninos Sin Miedo’ via the highly respected label. Ulrika Spacek being a band that really have been making massive strides since their formation in 2014 and one who’s live show really needs to be observed.
Being the independent music lovers we are though, we are mega excited to see who Evol bring to the table from new, local and unsigned talent category though. They’ve been soaking in that talent pool for quite some time now.
