A demo? Yes we're reviewing a demo, y'know why, cos in this day and age people have the ability to release music to audiences in whichever way they like and the audience have the ability to do with it what they want. Lucky for any LWS fan, they wanna release their music as demos on a pretty prolific basis and lucky for them Yeah Buddy! is all ears.
'Tying UpThe Loose Ends' spells doom, not doom like "Doooooooooooom Metol" but doom like "this fills me with a ominous, stifling sense of dread". When you can make your music evoke such heavy feelings you know you are doing something right. Even if it did lead to me spending the next hour listening to the ever-gleeful Polyphonic Spree to make me feel better.
'Tying Up The Loose Ends' would fit perfectly over a suspense filled, murder montage of an Eastern European horror film. It is intensely dark and grittier than an Iguanas armpit... that quite covers the doominess of the track I believe. I would also like to comment on how well written and recorded it is. It is a track you can listen to several times and keep finding new nooks to its character. For a demo it is really well polished too. Cracking work from LWS.
LWS continue to make stellar tunes by the USB load, who knows what they're leading to, could be a really trim and defined 10 track album or just as likely a 50 track debut to break Metro Manilla Aide's marathon record. Whatever it is, it is always exciting to hear their latest and I expect that we won't have to wait long until their next offering
